Cheshire Honey Journey - From Blossom to Jar

Mayflower Apiaries tend to over 50 colonies across North Cheshire. These industrious bees forage up to three miles, pollinating billions of flowers. Their delicate wings carry the essence of the landscape, resulting in a honey that reflects the changing seasons.

From early spring to late summer, the bees collect nectar from an orchestra of blooms: oilseed rape, field beans, clover, lime, willowherb, and balsam. Each jar of Clear Cheshire Honey tells a story.

The Bees Well-Being

At Mayflower Apiaries, they prioritise the bees’ well-being. Artificial sugar is a stranger here; instead, our bees rely on their honey stores during winter. In lean times, they receive fondant—a sweet lifeline.

Colony movement is deliberate. No more than 20 hives occupy a single apiary, ensuring ample forage for our buzzing companions. The result? Honey that hums with vitality.
