Viridian’s Astaxanthin is a natural carotenoid sourced from freshwater microalgae (Haematococcus pluvialis), one of the richest known sources of astaxanthin. The microalgae are cultivated using pristine Himalayan waters in an ideal climate that allows them to thrive without artificial heating or cooling. This low‑impact, sunlight‑driven process gives astaxanthin its vibrant red colour as the algae naturally respond to UV light.
Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant that the body cannot produce on its own, meaning it must be obtained through diet or supplementation. Food sources include salmon, trout, and lobster, but these vegan capsules offer a convenient way to increase daily intake. The formula is supported by a marigold flower base, naturally rich in complementary carotenoids such as lutein, zeaxanthin, and meso‑zeaxanthin.
