How to Use Powder Diatomaceous Earth

Take Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade on an empty stomach. We recommend starting small and slowly working your way up to a higher dose; begin with a teaspoon added to at least 250 ml of liquid. Mix vigorously and drink immediately.

What is Diatomaceous Earth?

The main component of Diatomaceous Earth is silicon dioxide. This naturally occurring substance is mined from old lake beds. It’s composed of diatoms that have fossilised over millennia in old freshwater lake zones.

Diatomaceous Earth, or DE, is formed from the fossilised remains of minuscule diatoms, which are single-celled organisms found in marine environments. These tiny plants have been an integral part of Earth’s ecosystem for millions of years, and can still be found in both saltwater and freshwater bodies around the world today.

DE is a natural product that is 89-95% amorphous silica, making it rich in essential trace minerals such as phosphorus, selenium, calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, copper, zinc, and iron. Unlike chemical-based products, Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is safe for human consumption and has no odour.

Silica is an important component of bones, tendons, skin, cartilage, and blood vessels, and is found in key organs like the liver, heart, and lungs. Taking DE is simple; just mix it into your food or drink and stir well. As DE is not soluble, make sure to stir vigorously before consuming.
